Thornewood Castle: A Wedding Story

It's been quite a year preparing for my son's wedding. The day finally arrived and couldn't have been more delightful or perfect. We all gathered on January 2, at Thornewood Castle in Lakewood, Washington on a cold, but clear afternoon. Only a few pictures available right now, but this is the first of many posts as they come in from family, friends and the beautiful photos that were professionally taken.

First up, I was responsible for the bride's bouquet, lanterns, corsages, boutonnieres and some table decorations. I started in August and finished up on New Year's Eve. The flowers are all silk, but I added fresh cedar sprigs right before the wedding for a fresh element and a wonderful scent. This layout is a quick drop from Club Scrap's Serenity kit.

Here they are dancing. The castle was still decorated for the holidays and was an absolutely beautiful setting for the wedding. This is an Aurora Borealis quick drop from CS.

This was a picture taken by one of Heather's family friends of the jingle bell favor that the guests received and rang in lieu of rice. Heather and I put them together the week end before the wedding. I took a photo of their kiss and morphed it into the bell and the layout is a quick drop from CS Pure and Simple, an oldie, but still one of my favorite kits.

Hope to have more soon. Lots of pics coming in.
