A Rusty Things Drawer (CCC # 26)

This weeks Compendium of Curiosities Challenge over at Studio L3 is right up my alley. I collect rusty things to create art with and so Rusted Grunge is perfect for drawer front #8. So, I settle in today to get started and I don't have the key ingredient, I did however, have EVERY OTHER COLOR available so I did a little mixing until I got what I wanted. I also searched through my rusty things and found a rusted coil to use for the butterfly body and base of the bead for the drawer pull. The "light" in the lantern is a yellow polished square from my scrapping supplies. Only 4 to go!!!

  4. Wow, Rachelle, your cabinet is looking absolutely incredible, and the rusted grunge piece is PERFECT! You mixed those colors beautifully and used the technique so well. The crackled background couldn't be better, and I love the shiny yellow light in the lantern. Great job! I can't wait to see the finished cabinet!
